Johann Zarco came through Q1 and went on to qualify second at Jerez, sharing the front row with Marc Marquez and Di Giannantonio in damp conditions. Zarco had shown strong speed and confidence through the wet session, only losing pole at the final corner when he slid both tyres and could not improve. Honda’s best qualifying result of 2026 arrived from the Frenchman who started the day in Q1.
