Brazil MotoGP weekend rocked by track damage controversy

Race distance for the Brazil MotoGP Grand Prix was reduced shortly before the start after officials detected track surface degradation at the Goiania circuit. Heavy rain earlier in the week damaged parts of the newly resurfaced track, raising safety concerns. Riders also reported loose debris and grip issues during the race as organisers acted to minimise risk.
