Michael Dunlop has secured yet another historic victory on the Mountain Course, winning a delayed and shortened Supersport Race 1 at the 2026 Isle of Man TT. Despite lengthy scheduling disruptions and a reduced distance, Dunlop put on a masterclass aboard his machine to further extend his legendary status as the most successful rider in TT history.
The Isle of Man TT has delayed and reduced the racing schedule for the second day of race week. The Clerk of the Course confirmed the delay to the day’s programme following a review of course conditions. A reduced schedule will run in place of the original plan, with updated timings issued to teams, riders and spectators on the island. Further updates will follow from race control throughout the day.
Andrea Iannone scored a maiden win on his debut in the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup at Mugello, marking his return to the MotoGP paddock. The Italian raced for Niti Racing on a machine based on the Harley-Davidson Road Glide, producing over 200 horsepower and capable of speeds up to 300 km/h. TT 2026 sidecar teams will receive a share of this year’s prize pot following the suspension of the entire class from the event. Former Radio TT commentator Tim Glover contacted the Isle of Man Enterprise Minister and received confirmation that prize money will be split between all entrants. The suspension followed two serious qualifying incidents involving Maria Costello and the Crowe brothers, with a technical and operational review concluding the class could not continue safely. A parade lap proposal has been put forward but not yet confirmed.
The Isle of Man TT Races have confirmed the passing of Daniel Ingham following an incident during Wednesday evening’s qualifying session at the 2026 Isle of Man TT. Daniel was making his TT debut this year having competed at the Manx Grand Prix since 2016, claiming a number of podiums and winning the prestigious Senior Manx Grand Prix in 2024. The Sidecar class has been suspended for the remainder of the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races following a technical and operational review. The decision by organizers follows successive red-flag incidents in the opening qualifying sessions. Ryan and Callum Crowe have been taken to hospital following an incident at Crosby during the third qualifying session at the 2026 Isle of Man TT. The Manx brothers, four time Sidecar race winners at the TT, were hospitalised following the crash. No further details on their condition have been confirmed at time of writing. Peter Hickman led Superbike Qualifying 2 at the 2026 Isle of Man TT with a fastest lap of 131.328mph on his BMW. John McGuinness continued his impressive form in second at 130.863mph for Honda, while Michael Dunlop completed the top three with a 130.233mph lap. All three riders broke the 130mph barrier during the evening session as preparations continued ahead of race week.
Dean Harrison continued his strong start to the 2026 Isle of Man TT by topping Superstock Qualifying 2 with a 133.867mph lap on the Honda Racing UK machine. Michael Dunlop finished second at 131.952mph on the BMW, while Nathan Harrison completed the top three at 130.318mph. Honda riders occupied seven of the top ten positions in the session as teams continued preparations for race week.
The Isle of Man TT has issued an update on Maria Costello MBE following her Brandish crash during Tuesday evening’s Sidecar qualifying. Maria was airlifted to Nobles Hospital with reported head injuries. Passenger Shaun Parker was taken by ambulance with reported leg and arm injuries. Both were reported as conscious and talking in the immediate aftermath. Qualifying resumes on Wednesday with the new daytime schedule, with roads closing at 12.30pm local time.
