Maria Costello and Shaun Parker Hospitalised After Brandish Crash in TT 2026 Sidecar Qualifying

Sidecar pairing Maria Costello MBE and passenger Shaun Parker were hospitalised following an incident at Brandish during the second lap of the first Sidecar qualifying session at the 2026 Isle of Man TT. Maria was flown to Nobles Hospital by Airmed with reported head injuries. Shaun was taken by ambulance with reported leg and arm injuries. Both were reported as conscious and talking. The session was not restarted. Our thoughts are with them both.

One competitor exited Parliament Square and made contact with a number of spectators. The rider was taken to Nobles Hospital conscious and talking with leg injuries. Eight spectators were also taken to Nobles Hospital, all conscious, for further assessment and treatment. Tuesday evening practice at 6.30pm remains scheduled.
