KTM Admits Pedro Acosta Exit Was Caused by Lost Confidence

KTM motorsport boss Pit Beirer says the manufacturer accepts responsibility for losing Pedro Acosta to Ducati for 2027. Beirer admitted KTM damaged Acosta’s confidence after failing to deliver promised new equipment during 2025. KTM will now start again under the 850cc regulations with a revised rider line-up that includes Alex Márquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio. Beirer says the new era gives KTM an opportunity to reset its MotoGP project.
