Marc Márquez finished ninth in the Silverstone Sprint after suffering severe rear-tyre graining. The Ducati rider initially moved forward from sixth on the grid, reaching fourth, but his pace dropped sharply from lap five. Márquez said the tyre problem appeared earlier and was more severe than expected. The result leaves him fourth in the championship, 29 points behind leader Jorge Martín.
