Marquez Tops Brno FP1 Despite Late Turn 7 Crash

Marc Marquez fired an early warning shot at Brno, topping FP1 for the Czech Grand Prix despite a late crash at Turn 7. The reigning champion had insisted on Thursday his goal was simply to reduce his margin from the similarly flowing Mugello circuit. Instead he established control from the start. Acosta, Vinales and Moreira also crashed in the session. Marquez kept the same tyres throughout while his closest rivals fitted fresh rubber late on.
