Martin Brake Failure Costs Him Jerez Sprint Win Chance

Jorge Martin retired from the Jerez Sprint after his front brake disc overheated and failed in the opening laps, robbing him of what he believed was a race-winning machine. Martin said he had the potential to win on Saturday and will start 10th on Sunday after his three place grid penalty, but feels 27 laps will be enough time to come through the pack. The title fight now looks very different after one catastrophic afternoon.
